Conservatives Now Running Paid Ads in United States
A new strategy from the Conservatives this week, as they are the only party running paid advertisements in the United States.
The ads running in the US include simple sign up ads and ads calling for volunteers ahead of the upcoming election.
Meanwhile the Liberal Party of Canada continues to focus on climate change, while the NDP continue to highlight the housing crisis.

Conservative Party of Canada
As you can see in the screenshot above, the Conservative Party of Canada has started targeting some of their paid advertising at the United States.
The Conservatives are running several simple sign up ads in the United States, similar to the one pictured above.
Approximately 1,000,000 Canadians live in the United States. We are curious to see if this targeting trend continues and if other parties adopt the same strategy.
Another ad that is currently being run both in the United States and at home in Canada, the Conservatives are calling for volunteers.
Facebook advertising can be a very effective way to recruit more volunteers for your organization.
The Conservatives have also started advertising "The Candidates" - a video series introducing some of their candidates for the upcoming election.
The first episode introduces Justina McCaffrey, the candidate for Kanata-Carleton.
The video is over 6 minutes long, which is much longer than the ~15 seconds that Facebook recommends for video advertisements.
However, if they are using location based targeting to target viewers in the Kanata-Carleton area, then viewers may be interested enough to sit through the entire video.

Liberal Party of Canada
Whether it is in their donation ads or their simple sign up ads, the Liberal Party continues to focus on "real action on climate change."
The divide between the Liberals and Conservatives on this issue is clear, and it may be the most important issue in this year's election.
The Liberals are painting themselves as the only viable option for Canadians who are concerned about climate change, while the Conservatives continue to paint the carbon tax as a cash grab that won't actually help lower emissions. It will be up to voters to decide later this year.
The Liberals are still running this advertisement which appears to have its wires crossed.
The ad copy above the image is all about making retirement more financially secure, but the ad image and headline are about the new Canada Training Benefit.
It appears as though they simply copied and pasted the wrong ad copy for this image. It has been running like this for over 2 weeks now.

New Democratic Party of Canada
After a brief round of fundraising advertisements at the end of March, the NDP are back to exclusively running this housing crisis ad for the second week in a row.
Once again their Facebook ads are overdue for a refresh.
